Hometown:

I grew up in Eagle, Colorado - a small mountain town two hours west of Denver.

Professional Background/Education/Experience:

I received my B.S. of Health and Exercise Science from CSU in 2014. During my time at CSU, I completed a semester long internship with Adaptive Recreation Opportunities (ARO), supporting their Special Olympic and Para-Olympic teams. I then attended UNC in Greeley and obtained my M.A in Speech-Language Pathology in 2017. During my summer semester at UNC, I worked at Camp Say: A Summer Camp for Young People Who Stutter as a bunk and activities counselor. This past summer (2019), I worked as an SLP at Adam's Camp in Grandy, Colorado. I supported campers with social and independent life skills.

What I love about working at Beattie:

This is my third year at Beattie! I love the sense of community and family in this school. All the staff has the common goal of educating our students.

Personal Interests/Hobbies:

I celebrated my one year anniversity this summer with my wife! I met my wife 9 years ago in in the dorms at Colorado State University (CSU). We got married on August 5th, 2018.

Personal intersts and hobbies wise, I enjoy all outdoor activities. In the winter, I love to snowboard. In the summer, I like to hike, backpack, golf, and rock climb. When I'm not outside, I enjoy spending time with friends and family or reading. I'm also a big CSU fan. You'll likely find me at all CSU home football games this fall.
