🚂 Silverton — Third Grade at Beattie Elementary
Welcome aboard Silverton, our third-grade “train” led by Mrs. Buchanan and Mrs. Peitz! Named after Colorado's iconic Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, this classroom journey mirrors the train’s spirit—resilient, exploratory, and full of historic charm.
Why "Silverton"?
Just as the Silverton train winds through rugged canyons, chugging along scenic tracks, Silverton Bighorns navigate a year of growth with determination and curiosity. Standing approximately 9,300 ft above sea level, the train’s route is a marvel of engineering and perseverance—traits we aim to foster in our learners .
