The Beattie Media Center is at the heart of the school, supporting and enriching curriculum by providing access to technology and information for students, staff, and parents.
Visitors can use computers to search for materials or work on projects, and access over 14,000 books including reference materials, non-fiction, fiction, and books for the beginning and emergent reader. We have a large selection of great picture books for reading aloud, reading together, or enjoying independently. Most of the titles are marked with reading levels as a tool for selecting books that are just right. Students visit the library for a read-aloud and checkout every week and for class projects as needed.

Media and Technology
Information can be found not only in our great collection of books, but also on the internet, with special programs designed for elementary learning, and in audio and e-books. Beattie's Maker Space is currently in the development stage and will be an exciting addition for everyone to build creatively. All students have their own laptops to use in the classroom and teachers use interactive display screens as exciting tools to engage learners. K-2nd grade students love using the Chromebooks for technology enriched projects, too.
Catalog Search
Our Media Manager is happy to help you find a good book and talk about books you've already read, or new ones you want to try next. Outside of the Media Center, use our on-line Beattie library search https://lib.psdschools.org/Library/Home to find the books you want to check out, or see if they are available. Good suggestions often lead to something new on the Best Children's Books website
