Hometown:
I was born and raised in Colorado, and love spending time outdoors enjoying this beautiful state. I have lived in Fort Collins since 2001. My husband, Tim, is also a teacher in Poudre School District. When we are not teaching, we enjoy spending time as a family with our daughter and son.
Professional Background/Education/Experience:
I attended the University of Northern Colorado, where I earned a degree in English and Elementary Education. I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Wales in the United Kingdom to complete my student teaching. After graduation, I moved to Fort Collins and have been teaching in Poudre School District for the past 18 years. I have experience as a classroom teacher, literacy and Title I teacher, instructional coach, technology facilitator for the district, and I am currently a technology teacher here at Beattie.

Beattie has an incredibly welcoming school environment. Our staff works hard to create an atmosphere of inclusion and acceptence. The staff and students at Beattie are friendly and truly enjoy interacting with each other. I enjoy spending my days at Beattie working with children and inspiring students to learn from new experiences.
Personal Interests/Hobbies:
As a technology teacher, I enjoy trying out new technology tools that can be used to enhance classroom learning. Outside of school, I am a ceramic artist and love spending time in the pottery studio with my hands in clay.
