Counseling

Mrs. Stephanie Coleman is our counselor at Beattie Elementary.Mrs. Coleman

A school counselor helps students with a variety of social and emotional topics, and create an environment in which students feel safe, supported, and heard. Every person needs someone to talk to, and know they are cared about, no matter how large or small their concern.

The common goal for our students is to learn to respect themselves and to respect others in every area of life, by encouraging them to understand the impact they have on the people around them in order to promote lifelong compassion and kindness. Additionally, our counselor is a resource for teachers, staff, and parents.

Daily contact with the counselor helps students become productive, kind, and well-adjusted adults. Mrs. Coleman can visit classrooms regularly, teaching guidance lessons on various topics, or may invite students to join a small weekly group. She is also available for students on an individual basis to work on specific concerns they may be experiencing.

Our objective is to promote healthy, happy students who are kind to one another and excited to learn.

Please feel free to contact Mrs. Coleman (970-488-4271) with any questions or concerns.
