I received my undergrad from the University of Northern Colorado in 1995. I then went back to school to obtain my teaching license and officially began my teaching career in the Cherry Creek School District in January of 1999. At that time, I looped in 4th & 5th grades. That just means that I was lucky enough to teach the same group of kiddos for two years in a row! In 2002, I moved to Fort Collins and started working at Beattie Elementary in 6th grade. After spending four years there, I moved to 3rd grade and have stayed put ever since. :) In 2008, I journeyed back to school to receive my Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction.
I love the open atmosphere! It feels very family-oriented because we don't have walls between us or doors to shut each other out.
I love the small school feel! When I walk down the hall, often times I know or at least recognize every student I pass by.
I love working with Mrs. Brook! We laugh A LOT with our students and work hard to maintain a positive and fun learning environment.
I love to do anything with my family! My husband and I have three beautiful daughters, ages 11, 10, and 6. My oldest daughter is in middle school and my other two are here at Beattie. They keep us very busy with afterschool activities! During our free time, we love to go to movies, play outside, and go on family vacations.
