After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder, I took a year off to be a nanny before pursuing my masters degree. I graduated from Colorado State University in May of 2015 where I earned my Masters degree in Counseling and Career Development with a focus on Elementary School Counseling. I have been lucky enough to work in several Elementary schools throughout Poudre School District including Laurel and Shepardson Elementary schools. I now get to spend my days at Beattie and couldn't be happier to now call this school home!
I love how warm and welcoming everyone is at Beattie. Everywhere I go I see smiling faces! I am a huge fan of the open concept for the classrooms because it believe it encourages the teachers and students and everyone at Beattie to create an environment that is respectful to everyone, and encourages group learning. Teachers care for students no matter what classroom, grade, or area of the buildng they are in. We are truly a full community school where every student is shared by every teacher. Also, I love that we are the Beattie Bighorns. I am a CU Buff, a CSU Ram, and now a Beattie Bighorn!
I love living in Fort Collins! I enjoy exploring the town and the beautiful surrounding landscapes with my husband and dog. We spend our time playing outdoors, caring for our 4 chickens and pet chameleon, rock climbing, and soaking up the sun whenever possible.
In my free time I love spending time with my husband and our dog, doing craft projects, reading, watching movies, and being with friends.
