I wanted to share our plan to unite students with their personal belonging that are in building and get back the items we’ve loaned out. We have created a drive through event to accomplish this goal. We ask everyone to follow health guidelines and wear a face covering when around people and ensure distancing. Staff will be on hand and working this drive through event so students can say hello too, from the car window!
Here’s the item pick-up/drop-off schedule for Tuesday, May 19:
- 9:00-10:00 1st & 3rd Grade
- 10:00-11:00 Kdg & 4th Grade
- 1:00-2:00 2nd & 5th Grade
- 2:00-3:00 Early Childhood (Preschool)
Plan to arrive by car at the times listed. If you have kids in several grades, pick one time and we’ll work with you. Enter the parking lot off Nighthawk Drive (the cul de sac). Cars will drive up to one of two cones, where the adult family member will be asked to exit the car, place the computer on the table if you borrowed one, throw the charger in a basket, and put library books into a cart. Any other classroom materials borrowed can go onto the table. As that is occurring, staff members will grab the labeled bags containing student belongings and place those onto the table for the adult to grab. Again, students will be asked to stay in the car. Cars will then be directed to exit the parking lot onto Meadowlark, the street that runs in front of our school. See the attached map.
