Hometown:

I am originally from Virginia - mainly Virginia Beach and the Washington D.C. Suburbs but have lived up and down the east coast throughout my childhood and my 20's.  In 2013, we moved to Colorado in 2013 from the East Coast and have loved exploring all that Colorado has to offer.  I currently live in Fort Collins with my husband, our two children, Ashton and Ella and our cat that thinks he is a dog, Bubba.

Professional Background/Education/Experience:

I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in Psychology. After graduating with my Bachelors degree I served two years as aTeach for America Corps Member in rural North Carolina before earning my Master's degree from North Carolina State University.  I have been a school counselor since 2004.  My first 7 years were spent at the high school level in North Carolina and Georgia High Schools, but found my true passion for elementary school counseling when my son was in Kindergarten in Georgia and can't imagine being with any other student population.  I have been in Poudre School District since 2013 and I've been a proud Beattie Bighorn since 2018.

Personal Interests/Hobbies:

When I am not at school I love to spend time with my family and my friends.  Additionally, I love to spend time outside - hiking, gardening, at the beach, or cross country skiing. I also enjoy reading, yoga and have recently started golfing.
