Gifted/Talented Program (Beacon)

Unique to Beattie Elementary, the Beacon program provides rigorous and engaging learning experiences for students in grades K-5 who are identified as Gifted and Talented as well as for Talent Pool students who rank in the top 10-20% of their grade level, viewing literacy and math separately.  Creativity is embraced in Beacon, and at each grade level learning objectives are multi-faceted and viewed through a creative lens.  Project-based learning is the cornerstone of Beacon, and students are encouraged to explore their interests and passions.
